Usually Melvin’s pretty good at Chess, but Gunther beat him in a game the other day. Melvin isn’t happy with the outcome but I think Eugene is. You know, I’m not exactly sure why these two are friends. I guess no one else wants to talk to them.

Egad! I love the way Melvin’s eye level is slightly higher in panel 4 as opposed to the eye-line in panel 1. This is such a nice, subtle way of adding some depth into his pent up frustration as he stands on his tip toes to get into Eugene’s face. Nice!
Hey thanks Denver. That means a lot coming from you. And yeah Melvin’s shorter than Eugene, but that doesn’t mean he can’t beat him up. I still don’t know why they are friends, they are always getting into fights
